Why the free render is small and watermarked

Every staged render costs us money: about four cents at our image provider. A free render with no limit would be paid for by the people who pay, or would disappear the first month. So the free one is capped (1 a day per device, and a few per network), and it comes back at 720 px with a watermark. That is enough to see whether the room is right, the style suits, and the walls held. It is not meant to be published.

What does not change between free and paid: the engine, the styles, and the rule held in every request that walls, windows, doors and framing stay put.

What free generalist tools get wrong on a listing

Adobe Firefly, Canva and most AI decor apps restyle a room at no cost. They redraw the whole scene each time, and without a firm constraint they move a window, straighten a wall or invent a door because the picture looks better. For your own home that is harmless. On a listing it misrepresents the property, and the agent, not the software vendor, answers for it: Rightmove and several MLSs require a disclosure and the original photo next to a staged one.

Do I need an account for the free render?

No. No account, no email, no card. The free render is counted per device and per day.

Can I publish the free render on a listing?

It is not meant for that: it is 720 px wide and watermarked. A paid render is full resolution with no watermark, and comes with the untouched original, the pair Rightmove and several MLSs ask for.

Is AI home staging free on Rightmove and Zillow?

The portals do not charge for staged photos, but they set rules: Rightmove requires a staged image to be labelled and shown with a photo of the room as it is, and several MLSs that feed Zillow require a “virtually staged” label. The rule applies whether the staging was free or paid.

What happens to my photo?

It travels encrypted to the image provider and is not kept by Roomstill. Our provider holds it for 30 days for technical reasons, then deletes it.
